Elite Designation Awarded to Top 2.5% of Products in EWG Guide to Healthy Cleaning
The EWG VERIFIED® Products are our two fragrance-free, hypoallergenic detergents:
- Heritage Park Fragrance Free All Purpose Laundry Detergent
- Heritage Park Fragrance Free Silk and Wool Laundry Detergent
Henceforth, these products will feature an EWG VERIFIED® certification logo on the packaging and website.
What Does EWG VERIFIED® Mean?
EWG VERIFIED® is an elite designation, awarded to only the top 2.5 percent of products in EWG’s Skin Deep® database and EWG’s Guide to Healthy Cleaning. It indicates that the product meets EWG's strictest criteria for transparency and health.
- No EWG ingredients of concern: Products cannot contain any ingredients on EWG’s list of “unacceptable” ingredients with human health concerns, ecotoxicity and/or contamination concerns.
- Full transparency: Products must meet EWG’s standards for ingredient disclosure on the label, provide full transparency to EWG, including about fragrance ingredients.
- Science-based: Program standards and criteria are created by EWG’s team of scientists, formulators and toxicologists.
The EWG VERIFIED® program is a rigorous process. It is the only third-party certification or evaluation program that publicly discloses its full criteria, has scientists on staff, and requires full transparency of ingredients including fragrance.
Why EWG VERIFIED® Matters to Laundry Detergent Customers

Heritage Park Fragrance Free All-Purpose Laundry Detergent and Fragrance-Free Silk and Wool Detergent are also independently lab-certified hypoallergenic; pediatrician-and dermatologist-tested; and Leaping Bunny certified as cruelty-free.
