What Is Leaping Bunny Certification?
Leaping Bunny Certification is awarded to companies and products that comply with The Leaping Bunny Standard. This is a voluntary pledge that cosmetic, personal care and household product companies make to clear animal testing from all stages of product development. The company's ingredient suppliers make the same pledge; the result is a product guaranteed to be 100 percent free of new animal testing. All Leaping Bunny companies must meet rigorous benchmarks; be open to independent audits, and renew their commitment on an annual basis.
Any company that meets the Leaping Bunny criteria is eligible to showcase their Leaping Bunny Approval by using the Leaping Bunny Logo. It's a sign of our commitment to producing products whose ingredients and manufacturing process are cruelty-free and conducted without animal testing.
Leaping Bunny Certification Is Reliable
Consumers seeking cruelty-free products made without animal testing can trust the science behind Leaping Bunny. Many products are labeled "animal friendly" or "cruelty-free," but without the participation or oversight of animal protection groups. In fact, by the mid-1990s, some companies had begun designing their own variation of a bunny logo while abiding by varying and inaccurate definitions of "animal cruelty" and "cruelty-free." This made for a frustrating and sometimes fraudulent buying experience for consumers.
In response, eight national animal protection groups banded together to form the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). The CCIC promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo. The organization works with participating companies to help make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trustworthy by clearly defining animal tests and cruelty-free manufacturing.
As a brand, Heritage Park Laundry Essentials has chosen to participate in the Leaping Bunny certification program to underscore our commitment to cruelty-free products and production. Our process never includes an animal test protocol on either a finished product or any item on an ingredient list. Why We Chose to be Leaping Bunny Certified
Our founding mission at Heritage Park was to create detergents and laundry products that were effective on tough stains; gentle on fine linens including cotton, silk, wool, and vegan fabric; safe for sensitive skin; and environmentally friendly. Part of that mission includes manufacturing detergents without dyes or harsh chemicals that are powerful enough to treat messes, stains, and spills, yet sustainable and safe for our families -- and yours!

Here at Heritage Park, caring for fine fabric is our passion. As lifelong collectors of luxury sheets, towels, and table linens, we found that while many of the commercially available "gentle detergents" could still harm fabrics, or they didn't get the job done, leaving tough stains such as lipstick, coffee, gravy, and salad oil stains. We believed we could do better and decided to fill that need. After more than a year of intensive research and product development, we created Heritage Park Laundry Essentials.
Our unique formulations have the perfect balance of powerful, yet safe, ingredients to remove tough, set-in stains while remaining gentle on clothing, bedding, towels, synthetic fabrics, and even heirloom linens. Heritage park contains NO sulfates, dyes, phosphates, chlorine, bleach, or caustics. It has a neutral pH and our Original Fragrance-Free wash has been dermatologist and pediatrician approved for those with sensitive skin or allergies. It is biodegradable and is Leaping Bunny Approved to be 100% cruelty-free and never tested on animals. Suitable for regular and HE machines, and proudly made in the United States.
